Overview:
Dr. Ananta Ram is at present working as Chief Radiologist at
KIMS, Hyderabad with Area of interest in Advanced NeuroImaging and
Interventional Radiology .He completed MBBS with multiple gold medals and best
outgoing student award. He stood State 1st in Post graduate medical entrance
exam and pursued in M.D. in Radiology at Osmania medical college. He Cleared
his Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) part 1 and part II-A
and went on to earn his Super Speciality
D.M. in NeuroImaging and Interventional Radiology (NIIR) NIMHANS,
Bangalore, with securing
Gold Medal (Golden Jubilee award) in DM.
He has more than 16 years of experience in the field of Radiology. He has done
more than 5000 cerebral vascular procedures including cerebral angiograms, Aneurysm
coiling/flow diverter, Embolization of
Arteriovenous Malformations (AVM), Dural arteriovenous fistula (DAVF), Carotico
cavernous fistula, Acute stroke-Mechanical thrombectomy, Intra cranial
stenting, Carotid stenting, Pre-operative embolization of cerebral and spinal
tumours and spinal vascular interventions. He is the key member of the
comprehensive epilepsy, stroke care programme at KIMS Hospitals & heads the
Neuroimaging and interventional Radiology division. Keeping up with the recent
advances in technology, he has performed more than 100 neurovascular procedures
with latest endovascular devices (flow diverters) launched after 2022.

- MBBS from Rangaraya Medical College – Kakinada (1998 to 2003(including internship)
- M.D. Radiology from Osmania Medical College – Hyderabad (2005 to 2008).
- Cleared Fellowship of the ROYAL COLLEGE OF RADIOLOGISTS(FRCR) PART 1 AND PART II-A in 2010
- SUPER SPECIALITY D.M. in NeuroImaging and Interventional Radiology (NIIR) NIMHANS, Bangalore (2010 to 2013).

Dr. Ananta Ram has more than 30 publications in national and international journals, contributed chapters to textbooks in Neurosciences and received accolades in international and national meetings. He is a Member of several national and international organizations. He is a regular faculty in the national and international meetings and CME programs. He has organized many national and International meetings in KIMS Hospital, Mentor for post-doctoral residents and Principal investigator in clinical research projects. He has delivered Gold medal oration in conferences. He is Program Director for DNB Radiology and sub-specialty training fellowship in Neuroradiology for Post MD/DNB doctors.
