Robotic Surgery

The purpose of using robots in medicine is to enhance diagnostic abilities, improve patient convenience and reduce hospitalisation and recovery times. A robotic surgical system typically consists of one or more mechanical arms that hold surgical instruments and camera arms. Using the computer attached to the operating table, surgeons control the mechanical arms and instruments. A monitor provides a high-definition, magnified, 3D view of the surgical site.
