The Pacemaker Clinic provides comprehensive inpatient/outpatient surveillance and patient education. Our services provided include:
- Pacemaker and defibrillator management
- Evaluation of patients undergoing surgery, invasive procedure, or new cancer treatment regimen
- Evaluation of pacemaker patients undergoing radiotherapy or chemotherapy
- Routine cardiac device maintenance
We provide a full array of services to patients who need help regulating their heart rhythm. Each year, we implant hundreds of permanent and temporary pacemakers, as well as other medical devices such as defibrillators. Each device is carefully chosen to ensure its specific features are tailored to the patient’s needs.
In fact, many of our patients have received the very first implants of their kind in the world, providing them with the latest and most advanced technology available.
In addition to implantation, KIMS Pacemaker Clinic’s electrophysiologists have experience with the removal of previously implanted pacemaker and defibrillator leads (wires which connect the device to the heart). At our Pacemaker Clinic removal of pacing leads can be accomplished nearly 100 percent of the time without Open Heart Surgery and with minimal risk to the patient.
We also provide the regular monitoring and adjustments needed to ensure the device is performing effectively. Hundreds of pacemaker evaluations are performed each year by the electrophysiologists and specialized pacing nurses.
