KIMS pediatric urologists provide comprehensive diagnose, treatment and management of all children's urinary and genital problems. Urology services include both inpatient and outpatient diagnosis and management of children with acquired and congenital urogenital disorders.
Services include the following :
Evaluation and management of voiding disorders, vesicoureteral reflux and urinary tract infections that require surgery Surgical reconstruction of the urinary tract (kidneys, ureters and bladder) including genital abnormalities, hypospadias and disorders of sexual development Surgery for groin conditions in childhood and adolescence (undescended testes, hydrocele/hernia, varicocele) Physicians with the Urologic Oncology Program at KIMS diagnose and treat all cancers of the urinary system, including the following: Bladder, Prostate, Kidney, Testicular, Ureter, Urethra and Penile.
Medical, radiation, and surgical oncologists of the Urologic Oncology Program all specialize in urologic cancers. The program's team approach to prevention, screening and treatment includes genetic counsellors that can provide recommendations and genetic testing for individuals who may be at increased risk for these cancers as a result of family or personal medical history. Experts in pain and quality-of-life management in cancer care are also members of the program's team.
The center for reconstructive urology and men's health at KIMS is staffed by urologists that specialize in conditions ranging from erectile dysfunction to male incontinence, stricture surgery to urinary diversion. At the reconstructive urology health center, we understand the importance of treatments that are as non-invasive and effective as possible. We conduct procedures such as Botox Treatment for the Bladder, Circumcision & Frenulotomy, Genital Reconstruction, Penile Implants, Sexual Dysfunction, Urethral Surgery, Urinary Diversion, Ureteral Surgery and Sacral Neuromodulation (Interstim).
