More than 70% of all surgical interventions for trauma patients are orthopaedic in nature. The orthopaedic trauma service works closely with physicians and specialists in emergency medicine and general surgery to provide the coordinated treatment of acute injury. They also team with physical and occupational therapists post-surgery to develop comprehensive rehabilitation plans.
